NEW Instant Alert Calling System! Are you ready for the first snow day?
All familes should have received their test phone call from our new alert system on
Sunday, November 23rd around 7pm Many of you have emailed in with change requests and all those changes are in now place in the calling system. If you did not receive your call on your home phone and cell phone, please email the school secretary with that information.
Remember, you can check your child's information at any time by logging into Powerschool and clicking on Demographics. If any of that information needs to be updates, please let the school secretary know.
Anyone or any organization wishing to donate to the Make A Wish Ricky Gibson Fund through the Make a Wish Foundation of Maine should make checks payable to the Maranacook Education Foundation and note on the check that these funds are for the Ricky Gibson Fund. All checks should be sent to

These donations are tax deductible for IRS purposes. Ricky's wish is to have lights installed at the field to enable nighttime games and bleachers for the comfort of the fans.

READING CONNECTIONS is a monthly newsletter that is now available on our website. It contains many ideas for helping your child with reading and writing, particularly in kindergarten through grade 3. Every month there will be new activities and suggestions, so check it out!
Maranacook Community Middle School's mentoring program is seeking new mentors!! Our program matches adult community volunteers with middle school students who would benefit from an additional positive adult in their lives. The one to one matches meet weekly or biweekly for 1-2 hours during the school day or afterschool. Possible activites include walking, crafts, games, woodworking, photography, conversation, etc. Come build a relationship with a young adolescent and share your skills and hobbies!!
